Magneto-Mechanical Transmitters for Ultralow Frequency Near-Field Data Transfer

چکیده

Electromagnetic signals in the ultralow frequency (ULF) range below 3 kHz are well suited for underwater and underground wireless communication thanks to low signal attenuation high penetration depth. However, it is challenging design ULF transmitters that simultaneously compact energy efficient using traditional approaches, e.g., coils or dipole antennas. Recent works have considered magneto-mechanical alternatives, which magnetic fields generated motion of permanent magnets, since they enable extremely can operate with consumption suitable human-portable applications. Here we explore operating principles resonant (MMT) over frequencies spanning a few 10 s Hz up 1 kHz. We experimentally demonstrate two types MMT designs both single-rotor multirotor architectures. study nonlinear electro-mechanical dynamics MMTs point approximation magneto-static simulations. further techniques control operation amplitude modulation bits-per-second. additionally how oppositely polarized modules permit systems dc-field but do not sacrifice ac field produced.

Ultralow-intensity magneto-optical and mechanical effects in metal nanocolloids.

Magneto-plasmonics is a designation generally associated with ferromagnetic-plasmonic materials because such optical responses from nonmagnetic materials alone are considered weak. Here, we show that there exists a switching transition between linear and nonlinear magneto-optical behaviors in noble-metal nanocolloids that is observable at ultralow illumination intensities and direct current mag...

Stable states in the radiant heat transfer of the near field for two parallel slabs

In this paper, we study the dynamics of the radiative heat transfer of between two slabs. In these systems, depending on the type of slabs and the thermal interaction they have with their surroundings, they can have one or several stable states in the phase space. It can be seen that in these systems, quantities such as distance and thickness affect the states of these systems. We show that the...

Near-field image transfer by magneto-inductive arrays: A modal perspective

A simple model of near-field pixel-to-pixel image transfer using magneto-inductive arrays is presented. The response of Ndimensional rectangular arrays is first found as an excitation of eigenmodes. This analytical method involves approximating the effect of sources and detectors, and replaces the problem of solving large numbers of simultaneous equations with that of evaluating a sum. Expressi...

Near-field Radiative Heat Transfer between Graphene-covered Anisotropic Magneto-dielectric Hyperbolic Materials

The near-field radiative heat transfer (NFRHT) between the anisotropic magneto-dielectric hyperbolic materials (AMDHMs) substrates covered by a monolayer of graphene is theoretically investigated on the basis of the fluctuational dissipation theorem through the scattering method. Unlike that the NFRHT flux between SiC nanowires can be enhanced by graphene coverage, graphene coverages can weakly...

Detection of ultralow-frequency cavity modes using spacecraft data

[1] The cold, magnetized plasma in the Earth’s magnetosphere supports two ultralowfrequency plasma wave modes. Both these modes may exhibit resonant oscillations in the magnetosphere cavity. Theoretical and numerical studies have predicted the existence of cavity/waveguide resonance modes, yet experimental evidence is sparse. In this paper we detail the expected structure of these modes using b...
